Well it has been a while, but I thought I would tell you what is going on. I am getting big and walking everywhere. I have been to the park a few times and the swings are not my cup of tea anymore. I do like that big slide though. I laugh and have fun sliding down to my dad. It is a big drop off at the bottom.
We have three cats, if you didn’t know. I found another one that I did not know about before. Wow was I surprised when this one came out of hiding. Our apartment is smal, but I can live with all of them. I do enjoy hitting the cats and one just loves the attention so he stays and takes it.
Dad is working a part time job once and a while when they have work and mom is getting a few more hours now that it is spring. Dad and I have fun when she is gone. When dad goes on the computer, I walk up and hit him on the back and then walk away. I keep doing that until he gets off.

Hi everyone. I have been growing and getting into everything now that I am a walking. I have cool little gym shoes with velco of course and some really cool summer shirts that make me look like a little cutie. Even though dad is still off of work, I have clothes and food. I have been a busy girl going walkng with mom and parties and visiting with eveyone.

Yes, I am a year old and walking everywhere. Grandma was not updating as often because she was so busy, but she did make a slide show for everyone that had pictures and music from my first year of life. It was awesome and beautiful.
I am a monkey she told my dad. See mom and dad put up these things called gates and had to lay down a computer chair to help block me from the kitchen, hall, litter boxes, cat food and the patio door where these wires were laying. So, I showed them a thing or two. I climbed the chair, skinnied down through the arm and slithered through the tiny opening in the gate. I escaped!
I can also climb the gate with the help of the chair and lay on the twp people dining room table. I lay up there and grab my nookies. I am a little monkey. I can go anywhere.
I had three baby’s first birthdays because I have so many grandparents. One was at dad’s dad’s house, one at mom’s mom’s house and one at dad’s mom’s brothers house. I got lots of presents and even some diapers.
I had three cakes and got to see all my relatives. It was fun and I made some nice faces with my cake smeared face.
Yes, my dad is still laid off and now we have no insurance. I heard him tell grandma that they wanted $1001 for something called the COBRA insurance and my dad said forget it, I can’t afford that. He only gets $363 a week from unemployment, but then he has taxes taken off that so he doesn’t get hit hard at tax time. So mom, dad and me have no more insurance and no money to get any. Grandma doesn’t make enough money to give us any money, but she tries to give dad and mom some food when she makes to much.
We are all doing okay even so. I am getting very big and getting stronger. I have had two colds this winter and dad saids that I have no problem blowing big bubbles with my snot. I laugh when he has to wipe my nose because it grosses him out. He just got use to poop and now the snot. He will have his hands full when I get older.
It has been a while since I talked to you, but I have a good reason. My dad is losing his job because of the slump in the auto industry. We have been having some rough times. I cost a lot to feed and diaper, so dad has resorted to the credit card since he has only been working three days a week since the first of the year.
Mom’s hours are low because of the winter season at work, so we have been tight on money and emotions are running high. I heard someone say that the other day. Dad is looking for a job and grandma made him a resume to send to companies so he can get a job. He has to find something close in pay so he can feed mom and me.
I hope everyone else is doing well. If you want to talk to me, I will talk back. I need my friends now. What am I going to do if dad cannot buy my diapers anymore? What if he cannot buy me food anymore? What if he cannot pay our rent anymore? I am a little scared.
School is where kids go to, learn and they have to go every day except when they have vacations. Because of the severe cold weather, the schools may have to cancel classes tomorrow and Friday because the temperatures will be below zero and the wind chill will be almost 40 degrees below zero. I heard this on the radio that mom was listening to.
I am so happy I will be staying in the house. It seems as if it is going to be really cold outside. I don’t want to get cold since I am trying to get rid of this nasty cold. Dad said I am gross because I can blow bubbles out my nose. He told mom that I don’t seem to care that I am doing this. I hate having my nose wiped with tissue paper. I think my daddy has a problem wiping my nose. He seems to make funny noses when he has to wipe my nose. He seems to do it all the time. I think he is afraid of running noses.
I will talk to you all tomorrow. I have to go roam around the house now looking for one of those cats. They are hiding from me today.
Yes, there was a severe accident in the bathroom when I took a bath. The water was so warm and I loved slashing in my rubber ducky bathtub, but when I got out the scene became ugly. I still have a little cold and I seem to have a control problem with my coughing and going poop.
Well anyway, mom took me out of the water, I coughed and that is when it happened. Poop came out and it went all over the floor and in the water, and on my mommy. I was so upset. The look on her face was so funny. I couldn’t help but smile. Then my mommy smiled at me, so I knew everything was okay.
She did have to call for dad to get up and come help a little since there really was nowhere to put me so she could clean up. When I poop, I do it good dad said. He was laughing a little, even though he was very tired.
Morale of this story is: Never give me a bath when I have a cold with a cough. Bad things can happen.
The weather is changing every day. First, it goes from snow to sunny, then cloudy to more snow and now it is going from teens to below zero temperatures. I have learn a great deal about this Wisconsin weather and I am not impressed. Now, the temperatures are going to get so bitterly cold that people are talking about going outside every few hours to start their cars and let them run for a while so they will be able to go to work. They are going to do this during the middle of the night.
I will be staying inside where it is nice and warm. Last week, my dad only had to work three days and then they were so slow that he had the rest of the week off. This came right after two weeks off during Christmas and New Years. We have to wait and see if he will work more days this week or not. Mom has to work on one of the bitter cold days this week. She has to work Wednesday, so I bet she will be using that automatic start on the car. It is really cool. All she does is point this key ring thing out her bedroom window and her car starts by itself.
Grandma is just going to take her battery out of her car and not go anywhere. Grandma works at home so she does not have to go anywhere in the cold. I will keep you up to date about the week and tell you more things.

Yes, growing up is fun, since you can do so many more things, but growing out of my clothes is not fun. I must be having growing spurts mom said because I grew out of some more clothes. But, that is okay because I have drawers full of more clothes to grow into thanks to my grandma and everyone else. I should have enough clothes until summer. Then everyone will have to start buying me more clothes.
I have gotten use to taking my afternoon naps for about 45 minutes so that mom can do what she wants. I don’t want to nap to long because she will miss me, so just a power nap is good for me. When I wake up she comes running and always has a smile on her face. She is so happy to see me awake, I just know it.
I am still drinking that bottle, but I think mom is getting ready to let me taste some food. I will be eating at the table with mom and dad. I am so happy.
Had a good day yesterday since mom had to work during the day so I stayed at great grandma’s house. It was a good day. She has some nice knick-knacks all over the house. Her house is so big that I had a big play area. I wish I had a big house to roam around. I thing great grandma had a hard time keeping up with me. I was cruising all over.
I like that big house. I could have so much fun living there every day. Grandpa on the other hand thought I should be in my play n pack because grandma was getting tired chasing after me. I am getting to be quite a handful now that I am crawling. Even though I crawl funny as one grandma says, I am fast.
Today, we are staying home and resting. Mom was tired after work, but she has to do some house cleaning and I can help. Dad said that I make more of a mess than I do help clean. I found the pots and pans in the kitchen. Wow is this fun now. I make loud noises when dad is sleeping.
